Apr. 18th, 2008 11:32 amFirst and foremost I rocked my phone interview! I always like sounding a lot more calm and together than the people interviewing me, it just makes me feel confident. I should be hearing back in 3-4 days as he's still in the phone interview stage, but I'm feeling good. He seemed a bit surprised when I started asking him about the company and their plans here in the US (it's a subsidiary of a Japanese company), but was very forthcoming and seemed pretty enthusiastic.
Of course nothing's a done deal at this point so I'll be spending the next part of the day doing the usual job hunt schtick. Still, this is the most optimistic I've felt in a long time so I'm just going to enjoy it for a bit.
Also have a couple of nearby apartments to take a look at this weekend and lunch with my former co-workers to look forward to. And Forbidden Kingdom is out, I'm thinking a Sunday morning matinee at Mercado might be necessary. My friend J- gives it a thumb's up and...well...it's Jackie and Jet, I mean how could I resist? So overall, yay!

pikabot links to the newest episode of Avatar which is apparently airing in BRAZIL, but not here for some reason. The hell? Are the execs crack addled or consciously trying to kill off the fandom here? I just...I just seriously don't get it.
And for a giggle,cyranocyrano links to this Onion News Network report on Iron Man. The bit about a "tedious 30 minute long romantic subplot" was the clincher for me. FTW, seriously!
