And through music my soul began to soar
Jan. 28th, 2005 08:44 amGosh I'm glad I've managed to leech onto cool people on LJ like
cleolinda, as it gives me head's up about communities like
metaquotes wherein one can find things like:
first they came for bert and ernie
and i said nothing because i was not a muppet
then they came for tinky winky
and i said nothing because i was not a teletubby
then they came for spongebob and patrick
and i said nothing because i was not an asexual cartoon sea creature
and now i'm just wondering who'll be the next target of the
righteous conservative wrath against imaginary creatures
Heh.
Anyway, slow night last night as I skipped class due to cranky female bits and ended up curling up in my papasan and watching t.v. while eating some very yummy Indian food (yay Tasty Bites!). Stumbled upon Prince's "Sign o' the Times" by accident and was reminded why I was very sad to have missed his live shows here in the Bay Area. Damn what a performer that man is. I saw him in his "Purple Rain" tour years and years ago and it's still one of my all time favorite concerts. When he's not trying to, uh, act, the guy's a damn genius. Here's hoping he recorded this latest tour as well.
Then popped in "Infernal Affairs 3" which confused me a bit from time to time but mostly due to continuity problems. Although I'm still confused about the ashtray thing, WTF? *sigh* A decent film that I thought lost a bit in translation, and I was amused to note that it went back to the formula established in the first, end with at least one (but possibly two) characters with head shots in a pool of blood. Classic.
Waited until a little after 9 for a call from my friend J-, then gave up as I was so sleepy I could barely keep my eyes open. The temptation to resort to caffeine today is strong, but I'm resisting. Hopefully a bit of catch up sleep this weekend will sort me out. Hopefully.
Oh and those that can, please send happy healing vibes to both
cyranocyrano and
aelfsciene who have managed to catch the latest death flu going around.
