Oooh, just found out the online interactive stuff on the ROTK EE contains the following:
-- The Murals of Rivendell -- View the artwork that adorns the walls of Rivendell and read comments by their artist.
I've been saying since FOTR that I wanted a better look at those!
-- Saruman's Book -- Explore Saruman's book, and view comments by its artist/creator.
My inner art geek is very pleased.
-- Character Palantir -- View graphically represented information about the characters and how they relate to each other. Includes video clips and printable portraits.
Oooh, printable you say...Hmm, wonder if it's the drawings from the end titles, if so I'm going to be very, very pleased.
And guys, if you were ever thinking of seeing the movie Timeline, first go and read
naamah_darling's review. My favorite bit has to be:
The whole movie was an hour and a half long cinematic poke in the eye. Its constant, grating ineptitude made Blade: Trinity feel like a well-lubricated handjob delivered by a thousand-dollar callgirl.
I begin to suspect I'll have a similar view on Phantom, though rather than a poke in the eye it'll probably be akin to a dull #2 pencil through the ear. :(
Right, well I'll try to check in here from time to time over the next week and may make a post or two. To those I won't be seeing in the next few days, have the very happiest of holidays. May you receive all the love, hugs, and presents each of you so richly deserves, and thanks again for making my life a great deal richer and more beautiful by your presence in it.
