I have only one thing to say to Stephen Colbert. Marry me.
Didn't quite make it to class last night for a variety of reasons. One being that it took me a half an hour to drive the 4 miles home. Yes, you read that correctly, half an hour. One look around my apartment when I got there said my time would be better spent putting it into some kind of order for my guests tonight. And sanity demanded a night to myself after a heavily social schedule this week.
So I danced every choreography I knew, including the veil pieces, and then spent 15 minutes rowing (yay me!) before showering and getting some stuff done online. Successfully converted an MP3 to WAV file for my fellow dance students, and did a little poking around online and played a bit of Golden Sun until I got stuck on a puzzle and frustrated (solved it this morning, though, go me!). As I'm semi-hooked on "Betterman" and "Geneshaft" I watched both before passing out.
Also got some more artwork hung and there's still plenty of space for my unframed stuff which I hope to get to this weekend. If I can get the closet better organized and some more boxes unpacked I will be very happy. I'm also thinking one more clothing purge is in order, and perhaps purchasing some slightly more "grown-up" stuff. I've been dressing like a college student for the past 15 years, it's time to stop.
Along those lines I'm also trying to figure out something to do with my hair. My excuse for the past two years was "I'm letting it grow out", well as it's reached the "pain in the ass" length (or pain in the head length, as the case may be) I think it's probably long enough. Any suggestions for styles or local stylists are most welcome.
I'm also in the research phase of what is starting to feel like a 3 novel length fanfic that's prodding me relentlessly. Why can't I ever have good short story ideas? Must they all be epics? *sigh* Let's see if I have the patience and drive to move forward from research to writing, though.
Ben Hur Rating: Weak, sickly old man.
