Can I just say that right now I hurt all over? Dance class flattened me utterly, we ran a very complicated choreography about a gajillion times and I, being a dumbass, decided I could do it all barefoot. I quickly discovered just how bad an idea that really was and I'm sporting some spectacular blisters on my left foot today. Everything else, from the ribs down, is quite stiff. And let me tell you that doing a good number of chest rotations and belly rolls makes you stiff in some very interesting places. If I manage to spend most of the day off my feet and not breathing too deeply, though, I should be just fine.
Other than that class was a lot of fun and E- and I really nailed the new "Tammerhanna" so that made me feel good. Of course Alyne, sadist that she is, decided to have us do it both in a circle and face to face. For the challenge, of course. The best part was that she kept getting confused about the steps and ended up following me and E- most of the night. We were all having massive giggle fits by the end of the evening. And I got to mildly flirt at the asian hottie who's joined our troupe. Hey, as far as she knows I was just being friendly. :)
I should be performing August 20th at Inca Garden and there's a tentative discussion of dancing at the San Carlos Art & Wine festival (which I think would be a hoot), then of course there's DDF. We spent a good hour after class sitting around talking costuming. We may be modifying P-'s basic bra design as J- and I fell in love with this example belly drape piece, maybe we can combine the two. Turns out J- has an aunt who works at 3 Beads and a Button so we're going to see if it might be possible for her to purchase the Saroyan coins for us in quantity at a slightly discounted rate. I really don't want to spend an additional $85 just on coins if I can avoid it. And at some point soon we're putting our heads together on which bra we're all buying. Fortunately J- gets the Victoria's Secret catalog so we may be able to sit around after class next week and make a choice.
E- and I have also decided to do a duet, though the piece she wants to do I haven't learned yet so I need to get started. August 20th is not as far away as it seems.
Then I went home and finished emptying out my car so that I might, just might be able to fit the rest of the shit I need to pick up from the house this weekend. I'm not entirely sure, though, how I'm going to get the rowing machine *and* steam cleaner back up to the apartment. I suppose I'll just have to get creative, when one drives a Bug there's just no help for it.
Aelf should be finding out today when she'll be getting her truck for the move tomorrow. I kinda hope it's not ass-crack early, but by the same token I'd rather it wasn't sometime that afternoon either. If we can get her move finished by noon I'm going to be the happiest girl in the world. For all those who have agreed to lend a hand tomorrow, thank you!
