So I think all told I managed about 3 hours of sleep last night by passing out at random moments between Pye's grand mal freakouts. Aelf, remember what it was like when we first got him and I tried to get him to sleep in my bedroom? Ok, that was last night. Finally I had to take off his collar because the combination of bell and yowling was just too much. The worst was from 2:30 to 5:30 or so, with me getting up every half an hour to show him the window he could perch in and pet and calm him. By 5:30 he seemed to have settled down a bit and went off somewhere to take a nap. By this time, of course, I had to get up in an hour so...

I do now know, however, that our sprinkler system (just outside my bedroom window) comes on at 2:30 and 4:30 a.m. Not that I really wanted to know that, but there you are. Kage followed me around nervously all night and would not leave the bed as long as I was on it. She actually sat outside the bathroom door this morning while I got dressed mewling pitifully. By the time I got out she decided that her day was best spent back under the bed. Pye on the other hand was busily exploring and seems to think my big walk in closet is really super cool.

And did I mention that Kage has decided Pye can't get within ten feet of either her or me? This makes life a wee bit difficult as, again, my apartment is tiny.

On the plus side I have a 4 mile commute in the morning, sweet!

Weekend..um, lemme think, sorry brain is very fuzzy today. Friday night was gaming wherein all of our characters got blowed up real good and Hav was not allowed to put an ax in the bad guy :( Saturday was some moving stuff and then off to [livejournal.com profile] tamago's bash where I got to wear my super cool Indian skirt and dance to a Bollywood number.

Sunday started out much too early (7:15 to be precise) and the movers arrived much too late (1:30 to be precise). On the plus side the main guy was really nice and chatty and seemed to know what he was doing. His two henchmen, however, were total mooks and ignored every single thing I said to them. They managed to bring Aelf's suitcase (empty) to the apartment but leave my rowing machine behind *sigh*. The main guy also commented that mine was the easiest move he'd ever done, which made me feel all proud and well organized.

After a few more runs I stopped at the grocery store for necessities and then we brought the cats to the new place. Suffice to say they both sang several refrains of the "Trauma Kitty" song and promptly ran under the bed. I took a quick shower and then treated Aelf to a viewing of Spider-man 2. I'll put my review behind the cut for those who haven't seen it. )

And now I'm going to try to accomplish something productive while in a half zombie-like state. May try to leave early so I can go home and maybe pass out for a bit. That sounds very nice.
