There's no place like home
Jun. 29th, 2004 08:17 amSo as of tomorrow night when I sign the paperwork, I shall have a new apartment. I'm sad to be going from a three bedroom house to a junior one bedroom apartment, but I see it as a temporary thing. I'll get a bigger place once I can comfortably afford to do so, but for now it's a place to put my stuff that just happens to be incredibly well situated ten minutes from my office and about three minutes from two of my best buds in the area. Can't beat that.
Now to keep Pye from puking on every single thing in the old place before we get moved. *sigh*
Just read that yesterday's "leaked" HP Book 6 title was a fake, so it's the "Half Blood Prince" in reality, ey? Didn't think it was going to come out until July 1st. My reaction is, "That's nice, but get back to me when there's some actual information about the story, dammit!" Fortunately I've stumbled upon a novel-length Snape story that has me glued to my monitor every night. I'm about halfway through it and have to physically stop myself from reading too late into the night. Even so I'm starting to develop some impressive bags under my eyes thanks to this story. Hopefully this will tide me over until the next novel comes out.
Just read that
cleolinda has been approached to put together a book, "Movies in Fifteen Minutes", with a possible release date of fall of 2005. As soon as she announces that it's available for pre-order on Amazon that puppy is mine! Couldn't have happened to a nicer, more talented gal, I wish her all the best.
Found out yesterday that I do, in fact, have a long weekend for the 4th. Woo-hoo! More time to move and clean and organize and...wait, maybe I'm not so excited about this after all. Ah well, better to get stuff done I suppose. With any luck I'll have a mover by then and it'll be one less thing to worry about. If anybody knows of any good local movers please lemme know. I seem to have lost the business card of the great company I used last time :(
I have decided to treat myself to another viewing of Harry Potter on Monday. After the past few weeks' stress and a weekend filled with chores I'm going to need it.
