Sadly, it would appear so. Gah, I hate coming out of a weekend feeling more exhausted than I went into it. Still, I had a very good time and got to spend lots of it with [livejournal.com profile] jakejr and [livejournal.com profile] tersa, which makes me happy. Also got to see [livejournal.com profile] caredhel and [livejournal.com profile] cyranocyrano for gaming Friday night, which makes me very happy indeed.

Had an amazing Italian dinner on Saturday up in Oakland, yummiest I've had since actually being in Italy. And I loved the atmosphere of the place, very nice wait-staff too. Mmm!

Got to meet [livejournal.com profile] jakejr's new kitty Peep, who was quite sweet and pretty and very, very clean. :)

After getting back Saturday night there was some dance time (during which I sucked ass), but I also tried out my organza veils (unfinished) with the Goddess choreography. It looks like a completely different dance. The timing is just off enough, and the sheer quality of the veils made it look downright magical. I'm having a little trouble with the energy level required to move them, but I'll get used to it. The rowing seems to be helping with upper body strength already, which is cool. A few more weeks and I may get to upgrade from pathetic, woo!

Got up at a reasonable hour on Sunday and did a little housework before [livejournal.com profile] tersa showed up for an afternoon of serious hockey geeking. I have decided that the pentacle is definitely a good luck charm, so it's on already today. And I must continue to work on edging my veil. Yes, I know, it's all superstition and a way of making myself feel like I'm contributing in some way to the outcome of the games, but dammit I'm sticking with a winning combo.

What a lovely game, capped off by a pretty Patrick goal, though every time I see him lately I can't help thinking "Stubble rating: lookin' mangy!" :) My respect for Calgary is long since gone thanks in great part to a certain player I won't name (though his last name starts with an "N" and he's a punk ass little bitch of an instigator) and a certain team captain who needs to be reminded that he is not, in fact, the shit. At least the crowd just shut the hell up for most of the game. I will admit, though, I had to laugh every time Korky got the puck and the crowd booed. While I was working on one of my veils I didn't even have to glance up to say, "Ah, Korky's got it."

Two more games, boys, just two more.

Afterwards made a quick Target run and bought some essentials, then zoomed home to mow both the front and back lawn. I'm beginning to think the exercising is paying off endurance-wise as I got both done and was tired, but not exhausted. Still, my allergies kicked into high gear and I ended up forgetting about doing more exercising as my head felt like it was going to explode. Curled up and watched a bit of 60 Minutes (mm, Placido Domingo goodness) and then "The True Story of Troy" which was mildly interesting and informative. Passed out shortly thereafter and the kitties behaved like perfect angels all night. Can't ask for better than that.

Slave Galley Rating: Pathetic, but improving.
