First and foremost, you can now vote for the upcoming MTV Movie Awards. ROTK is nominated for Best Movie and Best Action Sequence. GO!

Although Adam Sandler for best actor? I think they should check the crack supplies over at the main offices. Looks like they're cutting them with Drano again.

And I have come to the conclusion that trying to eat food and watch the Daily Show at the same time is just a bad idea. Between the Colin Powell doll and the Hello Kitty diary I just couldn't breathe, I was laughing so hard. Aelf and I decided that from now on we tape the show, it's just too damn funny not to.

Got precious little accomplished yesterday aside from stopping at the grocery store. Did a little more quilting before my thumb started to protest. However, the wound is looking much better. Apparently I did learn and retain quite a bit from my pseudo nursing days a few years back. Go me.

I'm realizing I've got so much planned for this weekend that I've left no time for doing any chores. Good thinkin'. *sigh* Well at least I think I have time Friday evening.

Also heard from Alyne that starting in May she's changing her classes from Mondays to Tuesdays, this is going to screw up my own schedule a bit, but she's worth it.

Oh and I contacted the Santa Clara County Humane Society regarding the little Manx kitty. If it turns up at any of their shelters or clinics I'm supposed to be notified. Now I feel like I've done everything I could to help it. I still feel bad about it, but no longer guilty so that's something.

Oh you just had to see this coming:

Doctors or other health care providers could not be disciplined or sued if they refuse to treat gay patients under legislation passed Wednesday by the Michigan House.

The bill allows health care workers to refuse service to anyone on moral, ethical or religious grounds.

The Republican dominated House passed the measure as dozens of Catholics looked on from the gallery. The Michigan Catholic Conference, which pushed for the bills, hosted a legislative day for Catholics on Wednesday at the state Capitol.

The bills now go the Senate, which also is controlled by Republicans.

The Conscientious Objector Policy Act would allow health care providers to assert their objection within 24 hours of when they receive notice of a patient or procedure with which they don't agree. However, it would prohibit emergency treatment to be refused.

C'mon, everybody, sing along, "The Inquisition, what a show! The Inquistion, here we go! I know you're wishin' that we'd go awaaaaaaay..."
