Ahem, anyway, tried to get to bed at a reasonable hour and almost succeeded, but didn't count on Pye having one of his neurotic episodes and waking me up way too early on Sunday. Little wretch. Got up and ran errands then helped Aelf finish setting up what we hadn't accomplished the night before for the swap meet. Had a decent turn out of sellers, but far too few buyers I'm sorry to say. Lots of folks said they were coming, but never showed, which was sad as there was some very nice stuff to be had incredibly cheap. Alyne did stop by and we got to chat with her for a bit. It was so strange to see her in cargoes and a t-shirt, not that she didn't look fabulous in them, of course, but I'm just so used to the leotard or a dance costume that it was weird.
Also got to spend a good deal of time with N-'s kids, M- and T-, who were adorable. Alas, the cats did not enjoy their company and spent most of the day crouched under my bed in terror. They ventured out again around 5:30 or so. Also got to talk to J- for the first time in weeks and we got caught up. I always think I have way too many hobbies and projects until I chat with him. *G*
We managed to make it through "The Maquis" (pt 1-2), "The Wire" (woot!) and "Crossover", all of which I very much enjoyed. Part of my brain wants to say that the next one "The Collaborator" has the scene in it that I've been waiting to point out to Aelf, but I could be mis-remembering. My brain has been swiss cheese lately.
Got to bed only a little late last night only to have trouble sleeping. Mostly because Kage didn't come into my room last night which mean that Pye felt safe in doing so and jumping repeatedly into my window. Finally around 11:30 I'd had enough of that and tossed him out and locked the door. This of course meant that every hour or so he'd be at the door scratching and howling to get in. At about 4:30 things had gotten quiet and then I heard what sounded like scratching coming from my closet. Thinking he'd gotten into Angie's closet and was being destructive, I opened my door to see him sitting quietly just outside. Kage was a few feet behind him. So the mystery scratching wasn't them. Great.
I'm reasonably sure it's a mouse or mice in the walls. Now if they stay in the walls I don't particularly care, and somewhere around 5 whatever it was gave up and shut up. Kage then came and laid down on my bed which meant Pye had to go elsewhere, and I got an hour and a half of actual sleep. Funny thing was I'd been too warm all night until 5 a.m. when suddenly I got cold and burrowed under the blankets I'd kicked off during the night. What I wouldn't have given for just a few more hours of sleep, though. *sigh*
On the plus side traffic was pretty non-existant this morning which made the ride in delightful. I also just got to work when the KFOG acoustic sunrise show played a version of one of my all time favorite songs that I'd never heard before, "Wouldn't it be Good?" I had to sit in the car until it finished, and now am on a crusade to try and track it down. I'm off to the site to see if I can find it!
