So am I the last person in the bay area to realize that Prince is doing two live shows this weekend? FUCK! Gods I hate missing shit like this and then hearing about it after it's way too late to do anything. Gah! I need a good way to be updated about this stuff automatically because the gods know I won't remember it on my own.
I'll just keep repeating my mantra for today, "You saw him during the 'Purple Rain' tour, you can't ask for more than that."
Argh, and I was supposed to bring along some books for a friend I'm seeing tonight and damned if I didn't forget them as well. I'm seriously starting to think there is something wrong with my brain these days. I'm turning into a damn airhead and I'm not even sure why. Really wish I had Monday off so I could just sleep, that may well be a big part of this. No such luck, though.
Got through some more episodes last night and we wisely stopped before "The Maquis pt. 1" as splitting a two parter is just dumb. Did really enjoy "Profit and Loss" (I love Quark eps, can't help it), though have always been only lukewarm about "Playing God" and "Blood Oath". I love seeing William Campbell playing a Klingon (he's such a sweet guy in real life, I absolutely adored meeting him), and Odo growling about having a "Klingon afternoon" just makes me giggle. Still, "The Wire" is looming on the horizon and I just can't wait to get to it. Of course when we're actually going to have the time to get to it and the rest of S2 is anybody's guess. Aelf and I tried to figure it out between us last night and realized that time is going to be short for the remainder of this week and what there is of next before she leaves with her parents. One thing is certain, we won't be launching into S3 until she gets back at the earliest. :(
I'm going to try to spend today getting myself into a better mood. Tonight I've got socializing to do and nobody's going to want to be around me if I'm still this grouchy. *sigh*
