For those who didn't catch the A&E making of ROTK, I pity you. The image of a guy in full orc gear strumming his sword like a guitar and singing "The Rainbow Connection" is something no fan should have to miss. This was the special I've been waiting for on the movie. And the "Dinner with the Hobbits" segment made me squee! And Viggo apparently really is "slightly mental", when he ran off in full Aragorn gear to pick up some film at a local New Zealand photo shop all I could think is, if that were me behind the counter I'd be repeating silently, "Don't pass out, don't pass out, don't you dare pass out!" Then, of course, asking him if he could send the Hobbits over for a bit *G*

And speaking of squeeing, possibly the cutest behind the scenes photo I've ever seen:

Hobbit Party

Oh, anyone planning on attending Rakkasah in March? I'm really interested in going on Saturday and catching Haruspicy who are absolutely amazing performers.

I'm also very tempted to see Damien Rice at the Warfield on March 27. Mmmm...Irish troubador goodness...

But I should be good and focus on saving money rather than spending it this year. So many things I have to worry about financially coming up. *sigh* Still I'm gainfully employed and that's something, so no whining allowed.

Did really enjoy class last night, even though I felt totally exhausted afterwards. Alyne really ran us through our paces, and we finished with a repeat of the "Goddess" choreograhy we'd learned on Sunday. Nothing like a little extra work on that. I still don't quite think I've got the timing on it and the musical cues just aren't registering for me yet, but I'm sure it will. It feels awfully good to be getting back to it after a long December break. Even after two intense classes I feel better, stronger, and even a bit slimmer (the scale agrees with this).

I am pondering picking up a rowing machine I found on Craigslist, though, as a few extra nights of workouts wouldn't be a bad thing. Stronger body = stronger dancer, and the one I found is only $30. Ponder...

Again I got to bed before 10 last night and again I couldn't get to sleep until about 12:30. Woke up again around 5:30 and went in and out of consciousness until 6:30. Why has my mind/body decided I only really need 5 hours of sleep at night? And how long can I keep that up? I suspect I'm not going to like either of the answers. Still I'm more awake than I have any right to be at the moment, which is just freaky.
