For those who haven't seen it yet:
Return of the Pants!
And all kinds of ROTK EE spoilers, we do get to find out what happened to Gamling, huzzah!
While I'm thinking of it, two Xmas gifts this year:
my Fabulous Frodo in orc gear
and
the exquisite Frodo lithograph from the ROTK exhibit (the text below it reads "Sacrifice"). I find it very distracting when I'm in the same room with it, just can't help staring. And I was so pleased with the matting and frame I managed to find for it, go me!
Still on the subject of Xmas, I can finally show off the big mystery project that took me from August to December to complete for
tersa:
my very first quilt ever!
It was a great learning experience, though damned hard on the fingers. I now own a bunch of thimbles for the next one I'm working on. I think it came out quite nicely, even though I did manage to screw up one row. Still, it's but a small quibble.
Oh and for those who haven't gone to the Century theaters to see ROTK yet, you've probably missed waving to Gandalf the White. Sometimes I just really adore living in the Bay Area *G*
Before I forget, for those who are interested in double veil Alyne's teaching her workshops this Sunday, you can take a look at the schedule and descriptions here. I believe I'll just be doing the choreography one as I'd very much like to learn the "Goddess" routine. If you're considering it and need veils just lemme know.
Ok, one more Xmas gift comment and then I'll shut up and finish downloading my 7,000+ emails today (I shit you not). L- got me a copy of XMen 1.5 and X2 and Aelf and I plowed through most of the special features and the second film this weekend. I recommend listening to the writer/producer commentary (but not the director's, he is such a doofus) if for no other reason than to catch the stuff about Pyro. One comments that he wanted to have Pyro shown in Magneto's hideout being given his traditional yellow/orange spandex outfit with the flamethrower and looking absolutely miserable as Magneto coos, "You look marvelous, darling!" Nearly fell out of the papasan at that one. The Nightcrawler stuff is also quite good, and I reminded myself again why the beginning of X2 is my all time favorite film opening ever.
