Guess what was playing on the radio this morning on my way to work...*G*

The subject line also segues nicely into the knowledge that I'm going to be buying a copy of this TV Guide as soon as I spot one. Mmmm, pretty Hobbitses. I've heard there are 3 other covers...whatever.

Got a good deal of baking done last night, about two dozen shortbread cookies to take over to L-'s tonight, go me! Also put in some dance time and came to a very simple conclusion. What I really need to work on again is endurance with my spinning. I can do a 36 count cyclone, but by the end of it I'm ready to keel over. My veil work itself is fine, but I don't have the fundamental strength and endurance I used to have and it's effecting how the whole dance looks. That's where I need to focus my time and energy before I'll be really ready to perform with veils again.

I think it's generally a better idea to figure out where your weaknesses are and then what to do about them, and then start doing it, rather than just bitching about it. Of course I'm a total "fixer" by nature so it seems pretty natural to me. Anyway that's my plan, now let's see if I can stick to it.

Took the night off from crafting and just vegged afterwards, with two sleepy kitties curled up on me. They seem to have declared a truce when there's only one monkey in the house. Kage takes the waist down, Pye the waist up.

Got to bed on time (or thereabouts) and also managed some nice relaxation techniques to help de-stress after a very stress-filled week. Having Kage crawl under the covers and curl up next to me helped too. Cats can be very soothing creatures when they're not bickering or destroying things. Might not have gotten quite the quantity of sleep I wanted, but the quality was nice, so I'll gladly take it.
