"Glow me!"
Dec. 2nd, 2003 09:05 amI'm all giddy and giggly today. First because it's nice and sunny outside and so much more pleasant than the dreary gray it's been lately.
Second, had a wonderful class last night wherein I faced down my returning "Zill Demon". If I don't play them for a while I start to become afraid of them again. They become this huge barrier to dance, and that's just not acceptable. Did reasonably well, and as there were only 3 of us in class I could actually hear what I was playing. Also managed to keep playing even while doing intricate dance steps. Alyne worked us damn hard, harder than she has in a long while and I was dripping sweat by the end of class. Of course I was the genius who suggested running "Tic Tic" after a full class of doing "Hinko" over and over and over again. An hour of drum solos? Why not. Oh and she showed us how to bend down while remaining perfectly upright if we wanted to do floorwork while balancing. Suffice to say I'm feeling that pretty much everywhere from the waist down.
And last, but not least, I'm back down to my main goal weight. When I got on the scale this morning I just stood there gaping, I didn't want to even breath for fear of shifting the needle slightly. I actually did it, no crash dieting, no insane workouts, just watching my calorie intake and getting a reasonable amount of exercise each week. It puts me within 5 pounds of my ideal weight, which may or may not be sustainable. Guess I'll see. This is nowhere near as impressive as
elo_sf's weight loss, but I'm proud of myself. And right after a big holiday too, go me!
