So it's Monday but somehow I don't find myself minding too much. Indeed, it's almost relaxing to be back at work after a somewhat hectic four day vacation. Someday I'm going to take time off and I'm just going to sit around and be. Someday.

Anyway, while I kinda shunned most socializing I got so damn much done that I'm sure I made the right decision. One craft project, the one I've been working on since August is almost done. Should have it completed by this weekend which makes me feel like a marathon runner in the last mile.

Gifts are all wrapped and ready to ship out, and two boxes went this weekend. I figured the earlier the international stuff was sent on its merry way, the better. This weekend I hope to get out a bunch more, maybe even all the rest if I'm lucky. Gods it would be nice to be utterly and completely done by the first week of December. At least the shopping's all set, I can pat myself on the back for that.

Must grab ingredients for baking this week and get started on that. And then there's grabbing supplies for the family's visit. If I'm very, very brave I may even face the horrors of Costco, we shall see.

Finished up season 5 of Stargate, *sniff*, even knowing how "Meridian" was going to end and having seen it before I still got a bit choked up. I am such a black widow when it comes to favorite characters.

Which reminds me, also saw "Master and Commander" which was superb. I'd happily see that one again, and may consider buying it when it comes out on DVD. And got to sit down and watch all of TTT, the extended edition, at last. The truly sad thing is that those scenes that were cut out could have, had they appeared in the theatrical release, removed my disappointment over the film. I rather resent that I had to wait to see the extended DVD to really like the film.

Don't the studios know by this point that we fans will actually pack their theaters and watch a 4+ hour movie without so much as flinching? *sigh* Anyway, here's hoping that Peter decides someday to put out a version of all 3 films that includes pretty much everything he shot. 18 hours per film? Yeah, I'd watch it quite happily.

Really need my copy of the ROTK soundtrack...
