Lay down your sweet and weary head
Nov. 18th, 2003 08:56 amOk I need my copy of TTT now, Now, NOW! And the ROTK game sounds like it seriously rocks. Aelf, I'm told you can play Ents at one point, just FYI.
Went to class last night even though I didn't feel like it and I got a good workout. Yay, aerobics! Looking at the scale now doesn't seem quite so daunting as it did a few weeks ago. My weight continues to shift downwards so I seem to have found the magic combo. Basically, don't eat so much and move more *G*
Also got one of the best compliments from Alyne last night. The class was tiny (just 4 of us and her) so we worked a lot on nailing our isolations and making the whole drum solo look nice and tight. At the end of class she asked what my dance background was and I told her Shira, a little Una, and her. "That's it?" she asked, looking surprised. "Wow. Your isolations are really crisp!"
Personally I always feel like I'm flailing about, and I was seriously tired and not feeling great so not at my dancing best. But still she thinks I look good dancing and approves of how I do the moves. I couldn't be more pleased. That's the kind of compliment that really means something to me, you know? I work my ass off and now it's paying off, and that makes me proud.
I find that I have ambitions in dance now that I've not felt since I was in high school where I was focused on graduating in the top of my class and going on to college. I had educational ambitions then, and now dance ones. I've missed that fire in the belly (so to speak) and it's nice to have it back again.
