Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cyranocyrano for helping us eat lots of pasta and watch "Hero" last evening. Very glad to hear that he enjoyed the film as much as I suspected he would. I really need to see if I can track down that soundtrack anywhere.

Got precious little done aside from cooking last night, but that's ok as socializing and acting as a personal papasan to Pye has its merits too. I may have time to do something before class tonight, but I won't be heartbroken if I don't. After some errands tomorrow I'll spend the rest of the night crafting to make up for lost time.

Saturday is well and truly booked, but I'm keeping Sunday as free as possible for more mad crafting. I figure I'll have some time next weekend as well, though I'm setting aside a good deal of it for housework. While Aelf is away I can do things like steam clean the rug without inconveniencing anyone. I intend much scrubbing and mopping and perhaps some dusting as well while I'm at it. Oh and definitely cutting down on the bathroom clutter. My goal is at least two full free shelves at the end of it, it'll make room for my family's stuff while they're visiting as well.

In other news guess who just volunteered to take over line party duty for Trilogy Tuesday up in Dublin? Yep, me. I really must get those rare masochistic tendencies of mine taken care of one of these days. Ah well, I seem to have at least one really motivated partner-in-crime already and I'm about to cultivate more. The gal who responded sounds very Hobbit-like in that she's focused on creating a comfortable space for everyone before and after each showing, which is very cool. She's also volunteered to act as liason with the theater. Now I'm going to try and get the word out about the line party and see if I can't figure out who from New Line is likely to be there so I can hit them up for a few goodies. Fortunately working with p.r. types is part of my real job so I can't imagine it'll be too tough to do.

I think the tough part is going to be establishing myself as having some legitimacy in this. I've run stuff like this before, of course, but not quite on this scale. I feel rather like the new leader of a small island country desperately trying to make the world aware that I am, in fact, the ruler. I'm also astonished that so few people from our showing are actually signed up for the line party at this point. I know how quickly the tickets sold, and surely not all of them could've been to scalpers on eBay, right?
