The squirrels are spying on me
Sep. 25th, 2003 08:43 amSeriously. They keep popping up onto my window sill and just sitting there staring at me. I swear a couple of them have followed me around when I walk to and from my car as well. But dear gods in heaven what do they want of me?!
Ahem, anyway, settling into the new office though I still don't like the layout. I'll cope. I do, however, love the surroundings and the damp, woodsy smell that hits me every time I step outside. I think next week I'll wear my sneakers and spend my lunch breaks doing some walking around and exploring. And when I get tired of exploring our office complex there's a lovely golf course right across the street that I can roam around. Not on the course, mind you, but there's a shaded sidewalk around it that should do nicely.
My horoscope says I'm in for a run of good luck today. About damn time, says I.
Now if I could just get my weight under control life would be good. I just don't get it, I'm watching what I eat (ok, I had a major misstep on Sunday, but that's just one meal), counting calories, exercising and the scale keeps going up. I have a sort of line in the sand when it comes to weight and I'm standing on it at the moment. I suppose the only thing left to do is to cut back even further. *sigh* This used to be so easy when I was in my 20's.
