I may have semi-officially lost my mind, but I've ordered a custom-made version of this bedleh set for myself:
Pretty Stuff

Only mine's in silver coins and chain. I measured my hips at their widest point last night to make sure the set will fit properly and lo and behold it will. I'm a little concerned about the top, but it's mostly chain links and I can adjust/shorten them if I need to. The seller seems pretty nice and highly rated, and the price is exceedingly reasonable for custom work. Now to spend the next 3 weeks or so twiddling my thumbs while they put it together. I will be patient, I will be patient, I will be patient...

No luck on the kitten front despite canvassing the neighborhood around 9-9:30 or so last evening. I did, however, find a very nice black and white kitty on my travels that I petted for a while. It kind of startled me when the little dear insisted on having access to my hand. At first I thought it might be like Ace and want to nip my fingers. Instead it started suckling on one. Poor thing was probably seperated from its mom too early. I put some food out for it in case it's a stray, but if it is it's clearly accustomed to humans. I'll continue the hunt for kittens tonight if I get home in time.

Also really need to get in at least an hour of dancing this evening. I can make up for some slack time last night over the weekend which will put me back on track dance-wise for meeting my weekly quota. May try to get in some more walking as I realized last night that I've really missed doing it. It's kind of a moving meditation too and spending some time reviewing the day is not a bad thing to get taken care of before going to bed. Also back to calorie counting, though I'm giving myself a nice realistic 1,500 calorie a day limit. I can stay within that pretty easily and with increased exercise hopefully shed a few pounds.

My overall idea is to try to get myself into an aesthetically pleasing shape that will compliment my investment above. I don't think it's an unrealistic goal, but it will take a bit more focus and willpower than I've mustered recently. I think I'm mostly where I want to be in terms of muscle strength (though endurance is something I continue to need to work on), now to just get rid of a bit of flab and do a little sculpting.

Watched many episodes of Stargate SG-1 last evening before calling a halt at 9. We'd gotten through the cliffhanger and seen the resolution, it was enough for one night. Daniel was awfully adorable and I had to concur with Jack when he referred to him as a little "space monkey". Aww.

May just be able to tie things up with the NHL at work today, pray for me...
