Burn in hell, inventor guy!

I would just like to say that whoever it was that invented the doorknob currently on my bedroom door should be consigned to the lowest pit of the abyss for all eternity. I have no idea how it was originally placed on the door. I have no idea how to get it off. My current plan involves picking up a hacksaw at OSH tonight. I'd feared it was just me being retarded, but Aelf couldn't grok it either. I've done enough DIY projects, and already changed two other doorknobs in our house, so I know I'm not that dim, but I really just do not get it.

So I spent about 45 minutes last night struggling with it before I gave up and decided a saw was the only way to go. Note, the replacement doorknob I purchased has nice easy to get at screws on the locking part, meaning that should anyone wish to change it in the future it will be simple to do so. Just doing my part to make this world a little nicer.

I keep wondering when the yard police are going to come and arrest me for letting mine get totally out of control. Must...mow...tonight.
