From theonering.net:
ROTK: The Six-Hour Cut
2/12/03, 5:27 am EST - Tehanu

Asfaloth wrote to say that the IMBD Pro magazine had some snippets about ROTK. "Rumors in early 2003 have it that the first cut is six hours long because of the amount of material from Tolkien's original story that remains to be covered." So I guess there's still a little bit of work to be done in the editing suite.

My response:
Dear Mr. Jackson;
Please, please, please, please do us all a favor and just leave the damn thing at six hours. Seriously. No further editing required. We'll go see a six hour movie. But if you can't 'cause of studio considerations, then put it on the DVD as is. Again, we will watch it, every single glorious second of it. Trust me.

And also from TORN:
NZ Concert: The Bridge of Khazad Dum
2/12/03, 5:11 am EST - Tehanu

Fiver sends word about the NBR Stadium Spectacular concert in Wellington, which will include "a chilling Lord of the Rings pageant as 300 flaming torches are borne through the darkness by hooded figures to the sound of massive drums, choir and orchestra," the orchestra being the NZSO.

Can I just say how much I'd give to be in NZ for that?

Oh and in case anyone's interested I started doing a few screencaps last night, you can find 'em here: www.ebonlock.com/Photos/TTT/". Well you knew I'd have to have a copy by this point, right? }:)

Adventure, ha! Excitement... a Jedi craves not these things! )

Ever wondered how many calories you burned doing normal household activities? Well now you can find out here http://www.foundhealth.com/tools/home.html. Just plug in your stats and pick an activity. I especially recommend the "Sex: moderate effort" option. Too bad they don't have more choices like "Sex: not really trying" or "Sex: swinging off the chandeliers/going through all the positions in the Kama Sutra/seeing god effort".

A very helpful site: http://www.charitynavigator.org/

I was trying to figure out who would get part of my tax return money this year and I think I'm going with the ASPCA and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They both rated fairly highly and are causes of particular interest to me.

Witch-king & Co.: Your mid-year reviews are coming up and I can tell you that it's not looking good. Inability (or unwillingness) to throw down with farmer's dogs not impressive. Please show more initiative. Forget about dog-poop idea. Proceed to Buckleberry.
