The family leaves today *sniffle*, I'll miss having them around the place and being able to hug my neice whenever I felt like it or laugh with my sister on something other than a phone, or exchanging a raised eyebrow with my brother-in-law over a shared joke. It's been fun and exhausting and altogether too short a trip. But knowing I'll be seeing them this Xmas does help a bit. Not completely, but some.
*sigh*
Anyway, now I'll focus on getting the house back into pre-guest condition and organizing the office. We're determined to turn it into a sort of hobby/craft area where we can store stuff and work on projects.
aelfsciene wants to set up a desk for painting miniatures and I'd like some plastic bins or drawers for my yarns, fabrics, and sewing supplies. This will also be the space for any and all exercise equipment...which reminds me I should start thinking about that rowing machine now.
I also fell hard off the wagon while my family was here, the whole eat less, move more thing went right out the window and I'll be paying for it for about the next month or so I imagine. But I'm determined to use this as inspiration and start walking again, and maybe try to do some dancing on my own between classes. I live in a gorgeous neighborhood, perfect for walking around, complete with park and everything. This will also give me time to check and see if the park contains a basketball court, if so I intend to make use of it.
I do not look forward to facing an attention deprived kitty tonight. Kage has become accustomed to having people to fawn over her and play with her morning and night. Even my brother-in-law who doesn't like cats adored her. I imagine she'll be having small conniption fits by tonight which should be ever so fun. Yay neurotic cats!
Gah, tired, very very tired, and no sleep for me until this weekend. But blessed caffeine will not fail me. I'll do the cold turkey thing again once I can get some sleep. *yawn*
Crunches: Tonight, I promise.
Chores to do: Too numerous to mention.
*sigh*
