Hot Monkey Sex
May. 20th, 2002 08:47 amWas what I needed in last night's XFiles episode in order to make myself feel good about watching it. It could've been between anybody and I would've been happy. Ok, wait, no, not Moronica and Dog-boy, I'd have had to put my eyes out after that. But either Mulder or Scully tossing the other on the nearest flat surface and bonking like weasals would've been nice.
As it is I feel a bit dirty for having watched it.
I won't spoil it for anybody, but I will recommend that those are two hours better spent elsewhere. Make up your own ending for the show, I guarantee it'll be more entertaining.
But on an up note I had the most wonderful time with aelfsciene yesterday! Sure the We3 thing fell through, but it inspired us to go over to the A La Carte street fair on Castro St. where we promptly lost our minds. I think we must've spent about $400 between us, but oh what we found. Aelf found a dress, skirt and top combo and sleeveless top that were the most gorgeous shades of blue ever. She also found this silk wrap that looks absolutely stunning on her. I got a green sundress and a purple top that I may wear to various parties this Sunday. I'm eyeing it cautiously regarding washing it, though, it's all velvety and sheer on the arms which equals delicate to me. Maybe I'll hand wash it to be safe.
We also had the best damn funnel cakes ever. And fresh lemonade, yum!
Possibly the best part, though, was walking around together pointing to things we want to get to decorate our house with. It's starting to feel real now, an honest to goodness home with a yard. How am I ever going to wait 'til July? *sigh*
Saturday was Craft Night, after an annoying day of trying to get all the downloads necessary to play Half Life (it was still downloading by the time I left at 4), it was a real pleasure to sit with the ladies, chat, and indulge ourselves. The food was exquisite that evening, and oh how I must check for that soup recipe. It was perfect! The pie was delicious, the margaritas yummy, and the pudding pretty damn good if I do say so myself. I also got a reasonable amount done on my veil. I'm thinking, though, that I'm not going to like the fabric even after I get it trimmed. Still, it'll be a nice patter that I can use to make all my other veils from as well. Eh, we'll see.
Guess that's about it for my exciting weekend.
Crunches: 60 (did you know that they're much more difficult if you straighten your arms up above your head?)
Spending sprees: 1
