After last night's sound thumping of Phoenix I cannot shake this mental image of resident goon Scott Parker as the Hulk. If he were on anyone else's team I'd undoubtedly thoroughly loathe him. But he's our thug, so that's all right.

And got a big shout-out from my pretend hockey boyfriend by way of a goal. I was getting all happily goopey over this when [livejournal.com profile] tersa commented that I should start a fantasy hockey team including Patrick and dear Jonathan, oh and Elijah Wood. And Michael Shanks would have to be my defenseman as he's about as buff a guy as I've ever chosen for my mental harem. I shall have to contemplate the rest. Hmm, maybe Richard Chaves as my wiley veteran...

*sigh* You see what happens when it's ladies' night at the Tank?

Was very pleased to meet M-, who's as lovely as she is charming, and finally got to meet [livejournal.com profile] branwynelf who I bonded happily with over tattoos, pentacles, 80's bands, and of course hockey. I had a truly wonderful time and hope to squeeze in another game or two before the end of the season.

Switching topics briefly, I would also like to point out a fun page I discovered thanks to a bellydance list I'm on: Zorba the Male Bellydancer. See, [livejournal.com profile] technocowboy, I told you there were some really fun male dancers out there too. Really liked his site and when I saw the URL my mind went, "Hmm, he's in California and has studied double veil..." Sure enough Alyne appears as one of his teachers and he apparently adored her workshop. Good for him. Wish he'd had a few pics of himself double veil dancing, though, I have this deep hunger for images of double veil and there are just so few to be found. Perhaps I'll email him about it.

Busy weekend ahead, lots to do, even work :( Ah well, I finally get to see "Fight Club", mmm, half naked Ed Norton... Must get some dance time in if for no other reason than to help work off that fettucine alfredo of last night. And cleaning, and laundry, and my Imbolc ceremony (which, is actually kind of a good thing that I ended up postponing as I can now do it on a full moon), and taxes, and more DS9, and crafting...

Same here. As it is though, I adooooooooooore him. Yum!

It was absolutely grand meeting you ... [livejournal.com profile] tersa gets points for calling it that we'd get along. *grin*

Added you as a friend this morning, hope that's ok! :)

Heh ... ok good. I'm always afraid people will find me stalkerish for adding without asking first (yet I never mind when people do so with me, so yah, I'm weird).

... but don't call me Surely

(hmm ... that joke works much better when spoken, eh?)

Reminds me I need to sit down and watch Airplane again, it's been ages since I saw it last!

I ::heart:: Scott Parker. In that 'must have some alone time' kinda ::heart::ing.

And I hear that my 'favorite' buttmonkey got his whiny, poor-sportsman ass chucked right the hell out of the game last night. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. I *loathe* Tyson Nash.

Tyson Nash is a fucking perpetrator.

Right there with you on the opinion of him. :P

I'd say "whiny pussy", myself, given how frequently he turtled in the Sharks-Blues playoff series of a few years ago, but I'm thinking "cheapshotting asswipe" might also be appropos after him lumberjacking Korolyuk last night.

Methinks you and [livejournal.com profile] tersa could start an anti-fan club for him :)

[livejournal.com profile] mallen would have to be the co-founder, I picked up most of my ire from him. :>
