Can anyone who saw the newest episode of SG1 explain to me exactly what happened? I mean is Osiris all taken care of? Is the stunning Sarah free to go back to making young archaeology students' mouths water rather than trying to take over the universe? And can someone give me one good reason why I shouldn't want desperately to bludgeon "Pete" to death with the nearest blunt object? Just this once I'd really like Sam's black-widow ways to take the life of one of her interests. And could there be a more ham-handed way to clue him in on what really goes on at the base? I was so glad to be able to wash the taste of that ep out of my brain with some quality DS9 this weekend.

Although I will admit the:
"Colonel"
"Carter"
"Caffeine"
bit did make me giggle.

Sorry, didn't realize you watched it, though aside from the line I included everything was pretty much spelled out in the teaser for this ep.

Yeah, I've been desperately trying to catch up. I have season 5 waiting for me at home. I'm hoping that through the magic of friends with TiVo that I can get caught up by the time season 8 and Atlantis start in June.

Hrm. This doesn't sound promising. I didn't enjoy season 5 nearly as much as I did 4.

I'd have to say that season 5 had about 3 or 4 good episodes, the rest were...disappointing on a variety of levels. I've heard horror stories about season 6, and season 7 is rather depressingly awful. This gives me very little hope for season 8 and Atlantis I'm sorry to say.

I think ultimately I'll purchase seasons 1-4 and leave it at that. Season 5 had some good episodes, and a couple of pretty important ones for Daniel, but you have to wade through a lot of luke warm to awful episodes to get to them. Season 7 is just a mess, a complete and utter mess. About the nicest thing I can think of to say about it is that Michael Shanks looks *so* fine right now and they keep finding excuses to put him in a white wifebeater.

I think last week's episode threw me more than this week's. We went from dealing with Anubis' new super-dooper armored Jaffa replacements to Carter being inexplicably aboard the Prometheus, in deep space, as the ship limped home. Buh? I felt like I missed an episode in there someplace.

Pete needs killing, though. Maybe Teal'c will dismember him.

I liked the Amazon Jaffa On The Moon episode. But I think they could've done better to have Hudson Leick play the Jolene Blalock part; would've been more, I dunno, Xena-y.

Oh gods, I'd nearly put that episode from my mind entirely. Uh, yeah, it played rather like a really piss poor episode of Voyager. Aelf gets homicidal when they replay the Jacob, "Honey, you need to find yourself a good man" bit.

"Hey Teal'c, have you seen Pete anywhere?"
"I've seen him in various locations. Simultaneously."
"Wait...what?"
"Samantha Carter I regret to inform you that I was forced to dismember your current paramour."
"Why?"
"For two reasons, the first being that it is established that any male showing an interest in you must end up dead, preferably pre-coitus. The second is that he was intensely...irritating. Even moreso than Jonas. I'm afraid I could not allow you to talk me out of doing away with him as you did the latter."
"Well, I suppose it is canon..."

Nah, I'd want Hudson to drag Daniel off into her tent, indeed that thought may well be my new happy place...
