H-Day

So in approximately 3 1/2 hours Aelf and I should know whether or not we get the house we so desperately want. I'm a bit nervous and filled with questions I'd need to ask before we got entirely underway, but also excited. My only concern is the whole moving timeframe thing. I want to strike while the iron is hot but I also don't want to make life too inconvenient for my current roommate. Hopefully a happy compromise can be reached. I figure if I have to wait until the last week of July to get my big stuff moved over to the new address, so be it, I'll cope.

I'm also stressing about money. Not to the point where I'm ready to back away from this, mind you, but knowing that it will mean leaner times ahead is distressing. I know I survived on a lot less when I first moved out here, and I just need to get back into that mindset. Stop eating out several times a week, stop splurging on things I don't really need, and definitely stop having belly dance costume "accidents".

Of course with a house comes a plethora of new expenses, gardening tools and supplies, furniture, etc. And with this too comes the certainty that my trip home in August is almost surely going to be cancelled. This makes me very sad indeed, but I'm going to have to be viciously pragmatic for the remainder of the year and that's all there is to it.

Do you need a washer and dryer? Would you like a washer and dryer? Free to good home. You haul.

We may just take you up on that, we need to make some decisions regarding the place we've been offered first. If we get it, it comes with a washer and dryer.

Hugs...

Let me know if there's anything G and I can contribute to the new place thing. We have extra stuff. :>

My offer to help still stands... Please keep it in mind.

And what happened to Sue's page? I didn't even know she ever had one. It would be cool if she kept one after she moved so we could keep a bit of contact with her.

Count me in for the 'help with moving' thing. Ask Angie about our Mad Packing Skillz helping Shadowhawk moved in May.

Also, packrat that I am, we have some gardening equipment leftover from the Hollenbeck Hellhole we can permanently loan to you. Also, there's a very large used wooden table I would love to banish from the library (great for a craft table) if you really do have that extra family room... :)

We've got scads of room and all tools/tables/etc. that you're willing to do away with we'll be happy to house for you on temporary or permanent loan *G*
And thanks for the offer of help, I'm sure we're going to need it. Thankfully we've got well over a month to complete this move so there's no pressure and we can kind of relax and get whatever help folks can over it when it's convenient for them. This is my kind of move!

Then here is an endorsement for the table; and if you want a slightly used huge comfy chair that I can visit and cuddle in on occasion, I can save that from Slimy House, where it found a temporary home after my last move. I loved it too much to get rid of it, and now I only get to see it on FLTD days. *sniff*

Well if Slimy House didn't mind we'd be glad to give it a home. Since we have the equivalent of two living rooms I'm sure it could be happy in either one *G*

Well, it's my chair, so I *hope* they don't mind. But, I can ask when the time comes.
