I'm sitting here shivering and very much missing an afghan to drape over me. Brr. This weather is playing havok with my motivation, couldn't even manage to get out the door last night. On the other hand I did get a lot done, including one major project and hooking up my new CDR drive. Speaking of which, if anybody knows of any good shareware or freeware music burning software please let me know.

Got to watch a couple of SG episodes in which Daniel exhibited maximum snark-age. Go bitchy Daniel!

Tried to track down the December issue of Premiere for its all things Hobbits cover and article, but no luck yet. I'll try again at Tower tonight, it should be out this week, right?

And on an up note, I've got about 15 folks signed up to help out with the line party. Given that the original number of attendees signed up was a pathetic 17 I think I'm doing pretty well so far. Trilogy Tuesday is starting to seem like a serious marathon to me right now, though. And the knowledge that the theater management isn't going to do squat for the 400 people cramming in there is not a very good thing. I keep doing this one equation involving a small number of restrooms, 400 people trying to use them and a half an hour between movies. The results are scaring me already. *sigh*

It may not be exactly free, but for $20 you can get the full version of MusicMatch Jukebox, which allows you to rip and burn to your heart's content. The program itself is something of a memory-hog, but it does win awards for best audio software suite year after year.

I think I saw that one on Cnet last night and it seemed like a pretty good choice to me, but having positive feedback about it helps, thanks!

I think they have a trial version on their website that would be helpful in discovering whether or not you like the software first before plunking down the cash for it. I've heard some people complain that the user interface is non-intuitive, but I've never had a problem with it...

iTunes is free, and apparently works rather well on windows machines.
