Last Sunday was supposed to be the final We3 sale, wasn't it? Then why the hell are they having another one this Sunday?

Greetings all!

Just wanted to pass the word on to all you Bay Area CA dancers that
We3BellyDance is having a big sale this weekend at their shop in San
Jose.

They are converting their physical store space into a dance studio, so
a lot needs to go to make room! (Have no fear, they will still be
offering their wonderful line of bellydance goods via
online/wholesale/shows).

Everything there is at least 15% off, upwards to 50% (or more!). There
is a huge selection especially of gorgeous veils and skirts! Lots of
nice performance sets too!

The sale is from 12pm-4pm, this Sunday, June 2nd at their store
location:

2734 South Bascom Avenue (between Curtner and Camden Aves, easily
accessible by 85, 280, or 17), San Jose, CA 95124.
Phone: 408.879.9131
Website: http://www.we3bellydance.com

Are they trying to bankrupt me? No, I'm not going, I'm just not. I have more costumes and costume elements than I possibly need. I'm not doing it. Definitely not. No way. Dammit.

Also, for all my fellow DS9 fanatics you can go here and shamelessly beg Paramount via Amazon to put them out on DVD. I'm taking the fact that they've bothered to put this page up as a good indicator that they're planning to release them. I'm drooling already.

Well I'm all signed up for my belly dance classes. Yes that's plural 'cause I'm taking both one and two this semester. I'd be more intimidated if I hadn't been taking Shira's and Una's together last time through. Two on the same night is easier, I just stick around after the first and continue into the second. I'm already a bit nervy about the veils, but I'm trying to look at it as a challenge, and one I'm up to. I hope.

John arrives next week and I think I've got us completely booked for every minute of his visit. Well, most of it anyway, we're going to see a Jackie Chan flick then to an A's game, possibly a dinner or two, and if he brings any of his Hong Kong flicks along I'm doomed. Utterly and completely doomed.

What else? Oh, gaming was incredibly fun last night, or perhaps just incredibly funny *G* Gaming geeks with sugar buzzes late at night are an amusing crowd. And our party is so screwed, I mean we're going to end up bending over and taking it no matter what happens from this point forward...that is if we survive long enough to do it. Ah well, at least I didn't get too attached to my character }:)

One more complete day of solitude before the roomie returns, I find myself missing her, the familiar sounds she makes around the apartment, the latest SIMs update, etc. I'm getting pathetically sentimental in my old age *G*

Still missing my pals in Russia, hope you all are doing well and having a great time!

Crunches: 90 (I got inspired after looking at myself in the mirror last night, and getting on the scale. As of this moment I now weigh more than I have in my entire life, I'm so disgusted I can't even tell you).

Just remember that muscle weighs more than fat. So the increase in the number on the scale may not be a bad thing. Just go by how you feel, how you look to yourself and how your clothing fits. That's a better indicator than the scale.

I feel hideous and I wish I could believe it was muscle, but I can see it's not. I slacked off last week and it's already showing. Ate too much too, but no more, now I get back to work.

Well, just remember that with any kind of exercise/weight training program it takes a minimum of 6 weeks to really see any change. So when you get back on the horse don't get discouraged if nothing seems to be happening right away. You're doing great!

Well, if it's any consolation (I know it seldom is to me, but I appreciate the thought), you still look fantastic, and I'd echo the reminder that muscle weighs more than fat. I'm trying not to take the scale too seriously, because I know I'm gaining muscle (stronger, yay!), but I won't say that being down in pounds doesn't make me feel better, too. Good luck! Keep coming to the gym (I will definitely be there next Tuesday, and probably Monday, Wednesday and Friday, too) and doing your crunches and you'll kick ass!

If you're absolutely certain you're not going to the We3 sale, I'm not going either. But, uh, if you do decide to go, please ring me up? ^_^; I have hopes more velvet tops will turn up, or the ultimate skirts, or other stuff that I'd really like to find, but clothing accidents four weekends running is a little ridiculous.

I'd also love to see HK flicks if you and John end up watching stuff and I'm not busy or otherwise dead (or, uh, watching Highlander; apart from last night's schmaltz, the 5th season is good!).

Have a good Friday! Weekend, yay

I wish I could just chalk this weight thing up to muscle. Last week I was blaming it on water retention, I have no such excuse this week. But it's a motivator to get up and do stuff rather than lying around feeling sorry for myself (which was pretty much last week and the beginning of this week *G*). And gymming next week sounds superb, I'll be there Tuesday and possibly Wednesday as well.

As for the sale, I already agreed to go see a flick with Laurie before the birthday shindig so I'm not sure I'd even have the time if I weren't so broke. Perhaps Ezzy would be game?

And you are so totally invited to come watch HK flicks, and to see the Jackie Chan one which I think starts Friday night if you'd like. John's a hoot and one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to HK flicks that I've ever met.

Well, good! Get up and come work out with me! I'm still not having the greatest workouts in terms of calories or strides, but I'm starting to wonder if it has something to do with losing blood a couple of weeks ago; I'm less tired today than I have been recently, so I'll see how my workout goes tonight. Better, hopefully!

It's probably better for me to not go to the sale, and I'll need Sunday morning/early afternoon for baking.

And good! Just lmk when you're planning to watch stuff, and I'll happily come by whenever I'm free. Or, hell, we can see if Fire wouldn't mind doing it at my place, with the giant tv and all, if you'd like

Chuck tells me I should have joined all of you for Versus.
I think he's probably right.

*grin*

It's not so much the movie -- which I do want to see based on the Friends page buzz -- it's more about not seeing nearly enough of people since I got back from vacation.

Amazon URLs can be cleaned up by chopping anything beyond the ASIN number:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005JLF5/qid%3D1022801117/sr%3D2-1/104-2350178-2198341
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005JLF5/

Doesn't really matter if it's hidden behind a link instead of splorted out there like I just did (html faux pas, not hiding a long link like that) but I guess I don't entirely trust what all that extra info does....
