I have got fuck all to talk about today as yesterday consisted of work, bank ATM stop, Blockbuster run, watching "Ghost Ship" (not as bad as you might think, though enough plot holes to make the movie look like Swiss cheese), crafting a bit and spending time with J-. See? What'd I tell you? Dull as dirt.

So in an effort to be at least a little entertaining, here is a brief list of the thoughts going through my brain this morning-

1) I am just selfish enough to be both sad and happy that [livejournal.com profile] mallen may be moving to Minneapolis. Happy, 'cause it sounds like a great job and he sounds really excited about it. But sad 'cause it's Minneapolis and I find it unlikely that I'd see him again. *sigh*

2) The marketing people at Nintendo have way too much time on their hands.

3) If I don't finish Golden Sun 2 soon I'm going to pitch it in the bay.

4) My house is degenerating at an alarming rate, I see a Sunday filled with housework to combat this.

5) I need to do something with my hair, cut it, color it, I dunno', just something.

6) An office with a lovely view is a very dangerous thing on such a beautiful day.

7) Why have the squirrels forsaken me?

Why have the squirrels forsaken me?

Where have all the squirrels gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the squirrels gone?
Long time ago...

I decided to cut off this filk both because it's very bad and because the only amusing finale I could think of, you may not find amusing. :)

Sometimes you frighten me.

I blame my upbringing. I sang 60's songs for a school concert while in the third grade.

...then back to golden sun. ;)

And if you finish it before I do I may have to harm you, just so you know. }:)

ok. I have been cautioned.

BTW, Nintendo just sent me Super Mario 4 today and I was tooling around their promo site. Sword of Mana looks sweet. I think I might have to have that one.

you are evil for getting me to get the GBA

Mana... Secret of Mana for NES was one of my favorite games of all times. The PSX one that came out recently was disappointing, but playable.

Mana... Secret of Mana for NES was one of my favorite games of all times. The PSX one that came out recently was disappointing, but playable.

The new one looks seriously kickass:

Sword of Mana, the prequel to the Mana series, tells the story of the source of all life, the power that flows from the goddess Mana and bears her name. Long ago, in a time of darkness, a mighty empire tapped its energy to dominate the world. In an effort to stop the use of such power for evil purposes, a woman from the Mana tribe transformed herself into the Mana Tree, locking the power away from anyone who would try to abuse it. The hero, the young leader of the Duchy of Grantz, has been raised and trained as a gladiator in the slave pits of Grants. The heroine in this story is a young woman from the Mana tribe who possesses deep ties to the goddess Mana. As the Shadow Knight is persecuting the Mana tribe, the heroine embarks on a journey to protect it. When the hero and heroine meet, the wheels of fate are again set into motion.

the part I loved about the original...

...was the cooperative 3 player multi-tap game play mechanism. If they bring that back, I'll buy, otherwise, no.
