...or my mind may well...snap!

So I zoomed out of work yesterday and all the way down to my neighborhood to make it to the post office before they closed (4:30). I checked out the door that goes directly to the packages section, you know, where you can avoid the line and just get your package directly. The sign reads "Open 8:00 am to 9:00 am". So basically you get to pick up packages without a wait for exactly one hour per day.
Have I mentioned lately how much I hate the PO? At least I only have to deal with the DMV once per year. *sigh*
So I waited in the line for a good 10 minutes and finally got my package. Now I'd just like to write this here so I can confirm that it actually did happen. I had to disrupt my day and get my package one week late (actually one day shy of 10 days late), AND I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO SIGN FOR IT. Yes, that's right, they didn't even want a signature. And the box was even smaller than the other one they left for me at the door, and maybe $1.00 more in shipping.
At least the time spent in line imagining every postal worker's head exploding in a fountain of gore made me feel a little bit better. And having my beloved comics in my greedy little hands was very nice. Man I've got a lot of Excaliburs! And X-Calibre, and Excalibur II. Oh and Xmen Classic (the stuff about Kurt finding out that Mystique is actually "Mom"), and Baker Street. Glory hallelujah!
I spent a little time putting everything in order and re-reading a few for old time's sake before Aelf got home. Also read some of the latest HP book. I'm coming to the conclusion that while Ron remains close to my heart that Snape is quickly starting to become my favorite. I foresee this continuing in the next two books.
Got in some good dance time last night despite the heat (ugh!) and got about 2/3 of our new choreography plotted out. Go us! Tonight there will be more practice of our established choreographies before our performance tomorrow night. Not looking forward to dancing in Alyne's oven of a studio in this heat, but c'est la vie.
Gods I'm looking forward to a short week next week. And oh a long weekend sounds awfully nice right now...

Glad you finally got it...
