And Then Buffy Staked Edward, The End

Well Hachi is now officially mine, god help me.

Found out S- (the nice lady who keeps giving me cats) is a fan of Buffy so we ended up talking fandom until about 11 last night. Speaking of Buffy, am I the only one who hadn't see this:

Jesus sparkly boy actually said, "You're like my heroin"? Good god, who in the name of all that's holy thinks this is either a) romantic or b) a reasonable thing for teenage girls to be into? I'm so glad I never got that far in the book because...for fuck's sake...

Anyway tonight I'm watching the true sport of my people, ballroom dancing. Seriously, there's not a pronounceable name in the bunch. Currently, and I'm not making this up, a couple dressed as Shrek and Fiona are ballroom doing the craziest routine I've ever seen in my life. Way to go Mikhail and Anastasia. Apparently they did "Smells Like Teen Spirit" last year.

Much as I love the dancing, though, a big part of me is here for the costumes which are just amazing, and you will not see more attractive people wearing them. Unlike models they're sleek and muscular with a clear understanding of how to make their bodies look sculptural even in motion. This gorgeous 19 year old couple just did an amazingly sexy Rumba and didn't even break a sweat. Wow.

I think my favorite moment was when she frowned and muttered, "What are you, like 12?" followed closely by the moment she stakes him. I just...I just don't get it, what the hell is appealing about this character? Do girls find creepy stalkers sexy these days? If so it's going to make a lot of really mental guys very happy.

I never watched Buffy, and I haven't read or seen anything Twilight-related, but I can sooo appreciate this video ... fabulous work.

Yeah I didn't catch the HP scenes either but I was mostly just enjoying Buffy and being deeply disturbed that this Edward guy was supposed to be sexy and appealing. I seriously just don't get it.
