Why didn't we think of this sooner? Just rename "Iraq" "Egypt" and get those juicy tourist dollars flowing. Why the war will pay for itself inside of 3 months. Genius!

A co-worker and I were just discussing yesterday whether it would be ethical and "American" to test people on basic knowledge of history and geography before allowing them to vote.... I have to say, this is beginning to convince me that might be a good policy to implement.

I'm just wondering whether this really was a simple stupid mistake that, due to a complete lack of anything resembling fact-checking or editorial control at Faux News slipped through...or if there's some bigger agenda at work here. Stupid or evil is a question I come down to more often than not with these people and I can't say that I've got a definitive answer there.

Are they actively trying to misinform people (i.e. when they label GOP malefactors "D" onscreen) or just blithering idiots? Perhaps some combination of the two?
