A few notes about Benadryl...the antihistamine in it actually causes some people to become hyperactive instead of the more commonly reported drowsiness. It really just depends on your body chemistry. Have you tried Claretin? It's over-the-counter now and many people swear by it.

You know I did try Claretin as soon as I heard it was over the counter, and with very high hopes. It didn't even put a dent in my allergies. I mean it seemed to have absolutely no effect at all. I tried it for a week, then gave up and went back to Benadryl, then tried it again a few weeks later. Nothing. *sigh*
