I'm going to fanfic hell

You know how I've been doing little else but reading lots and lots of SGA fic recently? Well I'm not just reading the regular gen and slash fic, I'm...pushing my boundaries. There are certain sub-genres of fic that I usually don't venture into. Not that most of them outright squick me (though a few do), they just don't do much for me.

In Xena fandom and HP fandom I'd cross the line occasionally and read an mpreg or genderfuck or AU, but for the most part I stayed on the tried and true paths. Slash was enough for me, plenty of hot boy on boy action and hey, I'm a happy camper. Throw in the occasional het sex and maybe a few threesomes or moresomes and that was enough.

But Rodney McKay and John Sheppard keep luring me off the path, they keep crooking their fingers and saying, "Oh c'mon, just follow us over here for a bit. Trust us, you'll like it." And the thing is, I do, I really, really do.

God the AU's in this fandom kick serious ass, whether the boys live on a farm in Iowa, or John's a housebound widower with a little girl, or John's a retired vet and Rodney's a snippy border guard, or Rodney's a professor and John's a bartender/stripper, occasionally John's even an FBI agent, or Rodney stuck with music and is a world famous conductor, or the boys are adventurers searching for a lost Egyptian city.

And the team sex is...wow...

But what really freaks me out is that I'm I'm in love with a few mpreg stories like this one, and and this one, and this entire series. But it gets worse, I about died when I read this combo genderfuck/mpreg that should be wrong, wrong, wrong but was so damn right!

Seriously, I'm beginning to think this fandom is fucking with my head but I can't seem to stop. If there exists furry SGA fic please do not tell me about it. That's a line I still refuse to cross.

Welcome to the club! I realized I was going to fanfic hell a long time ago! *g* Thank you very much for mentioning In the Family Way in your post! I'm thrilled to have made it on to the same mpreg list as He's Having His Baby!! :-D And, yes, like you, I absolutely love AU stories! Umm...when you question the existence of furry SGA fic are you talking about animal transformation stories? I only ask because I have some recs in that particular category as well... *g*

If the animal transformations include sex during the time of said transformation then I really don't want to know about it. If not...well I could probably be lured. :)

So far I haven't come across any animal transformation fic that included sex during the time of transformation. If nothing else, I can assure you that it doesn't happen in the following stories, which I highly recommend:

The Checkmate 'Verse Series

The Wheel, Atlantis, Wars, And So On
