So my DVD-R has ruined yet another DVD with the two latest episodes of SGA and the first ep of Dexter that aired on CBS last night. I don't want to make any big purchases right now but I think I'm going to have to splurge on this, it's kind of sad that a DVD-R has become a necessity in my life, but there you are. *sigh* I'm also thinking of picking up a back up set of glasses while I've still got the insurance to cover them.

Have I mentioned just how much I hate being in job limbo?

If we don't hear something tomorrow I may just go completely mad...

At least you didn't miss much where Dexter was concerned. Although the "motherlover" line was a teensy bit priceless....

Ha! On the third attempt to load the disk it actually worked so I didn't lose the episode after all. I've been dying to see how they were going to make the show work for network. "Motherlover", huh?

Motherlover. *facepalm* I think that was the big one -- there were other smaller things, too. I made a whole post about it. Because I am predictable. :)

I was actually surprised at how little content they cut out. Aside from a side boob shot of Rita that mysteriously vanished, everything was pretty much the same.

Dexter is awesome. I think Phil is the person who told me about it.

My solution was to simply integrate my computer into my "media center". I got a nice 22" monitor on the cheap, ditched the TV (22" is plenty for a single person to view), got a terrestrial HDTV card to get the 65 or so local HD channels, and ran optical digital audio to the stereo.
