Bombing people in Iraq or Afghanistan might satisfy one's need for revenge for 9/11 or prejudice against Muslims, but it does nothing to solve the problem we face. This war will ultimately not be won by the United States military but by an emerging moderate Muslim majority that accepts tolerance and pluralism. In order to do that, we must reach out to them and show them that they have a stake in living in peaceful coexistence with us.
