cyranocyrano who continues to allow me to throw Blake's 7 episodes at him. He seems to be really enjoying them, which makes me profoundly happy. It's one of those series I've loved since I was a kid. The writing is just so damn tight and Paul Darrow owns each and every scene he's in. I love the fact that the writers on the show didn't feel the need to continuously throw lines at him, rather let him speak volumes with a simple glare. In a moment of temporary insanity I checked the remaining 3 seasons on Amazon UK to discover they were all on sale. Being weak, terribly, terribly weak, I went ahead and ordered them. Luckily Amazon UK has this delightful tendency to tack on even better sale prices when you get to the checkout, so I got them for even less than I'd expected to (and about half of what they're going for in the NTSC versions). I love Amazon UK.
I have decided that at some point I must throw a B7 party where everyone has to attend in tacky 70's British scifi regalia. The color palette and fabric options are a simple "yes", and the more absurd the construction the better. Cheesy weapons a must. I think this could be a lot of fun. Although I'd probably have to come as Jenna, who's ok, but damn I'd rather do Servalan or Avon.
One last thing, I heard on the radio today that we might get thunderstorms here in the Bay Area! Thunder storms! How cool is that?
