So maintenance apparently came over to confirm that my oven door's glass had actually exploded and they left me a little poorly swept pile of glass to confirm it. They seem to have opened the door to let some more fall off but didn't finish knocking out the rest. I took care of that myself and cleaned up the floor as well as I could but I'm still convinced there are little shards lying about so I'm treading carefully.

They had no other oven they could just switch mine out for so I wait for a repairman since it is indeed under warranty. And you know the best part? All the complaints I was reading yesterday about ovens with exploding glass were regarding GE. Guess what make mine is. Yeah.

So no baking for me for a while but that's ok, I mean in this heat who wants to bake?

In more positive news I got rid of the old tv stand last night to a woman whose daughter is going away to college. She seemed nice enough though really high maintenance. I had to measure the unit and her car to see if it would fit then did most of the cramming it into her back seat myself. But it's gone and my dining room is nice and empty again, yay!

I don't suppose this is a double-oven, 48 inch high unit? I just happen to have one of those sitting in my garage looking for a home. My folks just remodeled.

Don't think so, regardless it's my complex's responsibility to get this fixed for me and the oven's still under warranty so no biggie. But can I just say that I actually squeaked with happiness when I saw your name in my comments section? It seems like forever since I've had an excuse to see you! :)
