Am I the only one who didn't know that Tanya Huff's books had been turned into a series? "Blood Ties" is, of course, going to be airing Sundays at 10 which means it's in competition with BSG...not smart. However there's only one BSG episode left for this season so I can switch over to watching BT instead for a bit. Of course it is airing on Lifetime so I'm already afraid on the path. I'll give it as much of a chance as I did Dresden Files and if it has been butchered I can just chalk it up to dumb execs and let it go.

I mean I loved the books but I wasn't in love with them, you know?

I've seen it -- it's pretty awful and Henry doesn't looke anything like Henry's supposed to look -- he reminds me of Vachon in Forever Knight -- ugh

Oh jeez...ok maybe I'll give it a pass after all.

I loved them due to actually KNOWING some of the locations she uses in the book series. I loved that Victory Nelson was based out of Toronto.

But, no, I didn't know it was going to be a series either. I'll probably give it a go for at least three episodes unless it pisses me off as much as the BSG miniseries did.

Somehow I think, it being on Lifetime, they'll try to sweep away two of the biggest character-driving bits. That being he's shorter than her and she's going blind.

Yeah I grew up in Upstate NY and did my grad school in Buffalo so Toronto was a favorite hangout of mine too. And I hate to say this but I'll bet you're right on the whole going blind thing, I bet it totally gets swept under the carpet.

Just took an IMDB search. The guy playing Fitzroy is 6 feet tall! Six inches taller than the actress playing Vickie!

Oh, and Henry's a graphic novel writer it would seem. I guess they thought making him write romance novels under a pseudonym was too "Bravo Channel" for Lifetime.

I'm going to record an episode or two after BSG's finale this week and just see how it goes. I probably won't like it but it may inspire me to re-read the novels and that's not a bad thing.

WHATWHATWHAT? omg. I have to check that out. Ugh, yes, agreed though that it's a bit scary airing on Lifetime. O.o

Yay, I'm not the only one who knew nothing about this :) I blame it on Lifetime, I mean nobody I know watches that silly channel.
