Merry Fitzmas everybody!

Former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby has been found guilty on four of five counts in his perjury and obstruction of justice trial.

Libby, 56, faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and a fine of $1 million.

Libby was convicted of obstruction of justice, making a false statement and two counts of perjury.

Jurors cleared him of a second count of making a false statement.

Gods bless us, every one...

Unfortunately Libby was the only one they could prosecute because everyone lied and the truth was avoided again. And Good Boy for Falling on the Sword Libbey will probably get a presidential pardon.
And Chaney went into the hospital yesterday, ie he's disappeared again. So the press can't question him about this.
Yep, sounds like the Bush Croneys have dodged the bullet again.

I think a 25 year sentence definitely merits the good stuff ;)

It's beginning to look a lot like Fitzmas...

Cheney would stay in office if it required a cyborg body or keeping his brain hooked up to a voicebox in a large jar.

But you know what, it's something. After all these years of lies, damned lies, and more lies at least we've seen a tiny glimmer of the truth. Just a little hint that justice, while blind, might not be deaf and dumb as well.

You will be shocked (shocked!) to discover how Faux News decided to roll with this one.

Ah but if he does pardon him then Libby can be indicted and be forced to testify from what I understand. No pleading the 5th. And of course there's the civil case being brought against him by the Wilsons as I understand it.

I am, indeed, stunned. But apparently it's not just Fox.

Do tell--who else goes with the rule that 20% is a passing grade?

I believe it was mentioned in the comments here (http://digbysblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/verdict-by-digby-guilty-guilty-not.html), but don't quote me on that. If I can find the info where I originally read it I'll let ya know.
