Oct. 3rd, 2006 08:13 pmOk, so I know most people who have just had even a minor surgery would..you know, be resting or something afterwards. And I would, really I would, but I got my copy of the PS game "Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale" so I had to drag everything out to try to hook up my PS2 again. The old hookup wouldn't work any more since I switched my entertainment set up so I had to do a fair bit of fiddling, but boy was it worth it. This is an old school game in the best sense, button mashing, ass kicking fightin' with no terribly complicated moves or plot that I'm aware of. The game's text is mostly in English but the dialogue's all Japanese and it sounds like the actual voices from the show which rocks. You should've heard me squealing like a little kid when I figured out how to do the special moves in practice mode. Sango summoning Kirara to attack was a hoot, though my personal fave so far is Miroku opening up a can of Kazaana on opponents. Sweet. Gotta' say one of the most difficult opponents is, oddly enough, Shippo. He's so tiny that he's bloody hard to hit and he's got some serious attacks including his spinning top of doom. Kagome's kinda "eh" in battle but that's not terribly surprising, and Inuyasha is hard hitting but not nearly as fast as Shippo. In all I'm vastly amused with the game so far. I look forward to battling it out with Kagura, Kouga and eventually Naraku if I make it that far :)
