I also don't believe that all ideas are equally valid -- the idea that the Columbia explosion is Allah's wrath on the West, for example. There are clearly some dumb ideas in the world, and calling a spade a spade is okay by me, even if it's not in a very nice way sometimes.
I'm not saying there aren't dumb ideas in the world, not by a longshot. I suppose it just comes down to respect to me. Do I agree with your opinions all the time? Nope. Have I ever attacked you, made you feel stupid, or sneered at you for holding them? Nope.
We can all choose to treat one another with respect, and yes it is a choice. I'm asking you, as a friend, to try to respect my ideas and the thoughts that I share here, whether you agree with them or not. If you want to disagree, that's fine, but don't take pot-shots just because you can, ok?
