Things I accomplished this weekend:

1) Watched "Ultimate Avengers" with Aelf, and it was surprisingly decent for American animation. They were way off book, and I had a few problems with the character re-writes (particularly Betty and Thor), but overall it was quite watchable. Despite how goofy the scenes looked in the next one I think I'll watch that too.

2) Got to rehearsals! Even though I'm not dancing in the next show I still want to keep practicing and gods do I need the workout, seriously a couple of weeks of downtime and I turn into a complete blob. My new goal is working out at least 5 days a week, I have absolutely no excuse not to.

3) Got to hang out with the girls, [livejournal.com profile] tersa, Aelf and [livejournal.com profile] jakejr, we had a nice dinner and then headed to the Tank for some Sharks action. Of course if we'd known that the team wasn't actually going to show up to play until the third period we might have opted to go do something else for the first two. I blame some of it on the piss poor officiating, I mean they made some absolutely horrendous calls and even worse, completely ignored eggregious penalties when the Coyotes did it right in front of them. At one point [livejournal.com profile] jakejr turned to me and muttered, "Even I saw that one", and not being much of a hockey buff herself, that's saying something indeed. I should see if [livejournal.com profile] tersa TiVo'ed it, I'd love to hear what Drew had to say during a couple of those.

4) Ran errands and finally got to BB&B to pick up a new digital scale that I can actually read even without my glasses. Yay! And it seems to be entirely accurate, which is an awfully nice change. Of course it did then tell me that I was higher than I wanted to be weight-wise, but I already knew that. Lots of work to do *sigh* but, I knew that too.

5) Pulled together a coherent Chapter Two in my seemingly never ending story. That brings me up to 54 pages and just shy of 30,000 words. Two more chapters to finish weaving together and that should do it. I also figured out a major motivator for one of my main characters and what's finally going to bring the two heroes together, which is something that's been puzzling me for weeks. Go me!

6) Managed to record several of the TBS LOTR commercials for posterity, including "It Sucks to be Frodo" and "Secret Lovers", which were the two I really wanted anyhow. Woo!

Randy mostly said things like "[Coyote player] hacks away at [Sharks player], no call" or "The Coyotes got away with another one there" with the occasional "How is that not a penalty?" from Drew.

LOL, yeah about what I expected, though I could really imagine Drew getting all huffy and pissed. I was hoping for a "This is the worst officiating I've seen all season" too :)

There may have been one or two "Wow, the officiating sucks" comments from Drew, but I do not recall the exact wording.

I did TiVo it, but it's likely to be shoved off tonight for the Stars game. Do you want a copy of it before I have to delete it (before 5:30pm)?
