Goddamn, been reading way too many "Christmas Invasion" spoilers and I'm really hurting for the new Doctor Who. Pics and spoilers just aren't enough, not by a longshot. Even the teaser in the boxed set wasn't enough. *pout*

Had a nice, quiet Xmas this year, a little social time, talked to my family, got the coolest gifts, and now I'm back to work again. *sigh* Well at least I'm on my own this week so I can listen to music while I'm getting shit done. And no conversations or meetings to deal with, hooray! I've developed something of an aversion to meetings these days. I expect I'll be due for at least one more next week, but I'm not thinking about that until then.

Got some work done on the Super Secret Project, and a reasonable amount of writing in (just shy of 10,000 words at present, and I'd say it's about 1/3 of the way finished). Hoping to do a bit more this week. If I can get it to about the halfway mark by next weekend I'll be on track to finish it by the end of January, which is my goal. We'll see how it goes.

Today I play the role of airport chauffeur rather than commuting kitty sitter. May come in for a few hours tomorrow, certainly some on Thursday...then La Fondue...mmm. I'm going to have to exercise pretty hard this week if I want to work that off :P

Just finished downloading. Am about to watch, as soon as tea boils. Have assiduously avoided spoilers, but am prepared for the liklihood that might startle the neighborhood with resounding cries of "SQUEEEE!"

I liked it. Chris had to tell me to calm down before I broke something bouncing like a superball. Pacing was a bit uneven, particularly in the second half, but that was due more to the nature of the beast (let's see how many times we can mention "Torchwood") than any flaws in acting or characterization or what have you.

I'll see if I can't get Chris to burn you a copy this afternoon.

I've begun to assume that meetings are just a way for the big boss's to tell me that i'm taking on way more work than I can handle and am apt to spontaneously combust from. Just do what I do and daydream while nodding ... that way noone can ever say that you were actually present. I mean if they're going to tell me that i'll be doing a mangers job without getting the pay I might as well just smile pleasantly and think about Anakin Skywalker right? by the way one of my favorite gifts...ahhh I can spaz out with him safely in the room to glower at me.
