You must check out fleurdelista recapping Lost in haiku format. My faves:

Sun and Jin happy
Hurley knows why that is so
Thumbs up, dude hit it.

Even dying Sawyer
Can still make Jack cry -- he is
such a little girl.

The competent nurse
Is ready to get laid now.
Stops watching Sawyer.

Is it just me or should there be a law that Sayid is required to wear wife beaters or nothing at all? What the hell was up with that mangy shirt? Looked like he'd dug up Boone's body, stole his shirt, and wore it to the funeral. Ick.

The Kate backstory was, um, certainly different. I'm not so sure blowing up her dad was the best decision she could have made, but I'll definitely give her style points. And she rides a motorcycle? Well that completes the loner/rebel cliches I suppose, though the poor actress looked absolutely petrified on it.

I liked seeing her kind of squirrely and just shy of batshit crazy, I kept having inappropriate quotes from the Mad Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight throughout the episode. That was probably wrong of me.

So did anybody else get the impression that Eko might be an Ethiopian Christian from his little Josiah story, or was it just me? If so and his story somehow relates to the Arc of the Covenant I'm going to laugh and laugh, then madly applaud the writers. I also like how he's been sort of set up as the anti-Locke in some ways, Locke puts his faith in the Island (and rightly so, it cured him after all...assuming his inability to walk wasn't psychosomatic, of course) whereas Eko seems to have pretty strong Christian beliefs and may be viewing the Island as either purgatory or hell. Should be interesting to see whose belief system comes out a winner, though with the scenes from the next ep I wouldn't feel comfy putting my money on Eko.

Liked the additional film footage, though it tells us very little. The blast doors comment from Michael made my skin crawl, though, the whole nuclear plant concept is sounding a bit more realistic now. And wow that somewhat Poltergeist-y bit at the end with Walt was creeptastic! Don't go into the light Walt, don't go into the light!

Oh and much love to the writers for having Sawyer wake up in the middle of Kate's little "Sorry I blew you up because I didn't want to face the fact that I might be a little like you, Dad." speech. Heh.

Also, any ideas on why Ana was so intent on pounding a wooden stake into the ground? Was it supposed to be symbolic or was she actually attempting to do something that I couldn't quite fathom?

Got a bit more crafting done last night, but that was about it aside from chatting with [livejournal.com profile] aelfsciene and [livejournal.com profile] jakejr for a while. Oh I did try a slightly different yoga/pilates workout that didn't leave me crying for mommy by the end. Then I figured out that it was just the third part of the one that kicked my ass the other night and that you're supposed to do them together. And there's another part they haven't even run yet. *sigh*

I'm glad I did it, though, as today I'm not nearly as stiff as I would've been otherwise.

*yawn* Can't wake up with it so gloomy outside. I need some sunshine, dammit.

Now we know that the computer is networked to another research station that is 'live' and being run by the Others who took Walt. Walt has been running around the island secretly with the OtherKids and freaking out the remaining captives. Now he is sitting on another Apple ][ in another part of the island. He'll probably get caught.

I prefer to believe he's a sort of ghost in the machine, psychically sending out messages via DOS prompts. It just amuses me :)
