This will undoubtedly horrify some, but I've decided that Ana-Lucia is one of my new tv girlfriends. Yeah I know, I know, I didn't like her much when she was introduced, and yeah I still hold "The Fast and the Furious" against Ms. Rodriguez, but you have to admit she kicked some serious ass last night. And we know I get a bit weak in the knees when it comes to ass kicking women.

I think the moment that did it for me was when she marched off with Goodwin (great name for a villain, by the way) on her own with only a small army knife and a pointy stick, knowing he was one of the Others. It was her body language (casual but wary, always staying a few steps behind him, her weapon never farther than an easy reach) that has me pinging her for ex military. It would be ridiculously sweet if she actually fought in Gulf War I, imagine the added angst between her and Sayid!

Anyway, what she did took balls, serious coconut-sized balls. She could've confronted him with everybody else to back her up, instead she did it alone. Yeah I'm sure part of her reasoning was that it would be pretty fucking hard to get them to believe her this time around. Especially after misidentifying the poor Canadian business guy with bowel trouble, Nathan, and sticking him in her hand dug pit. Although one wonders if Nathan was actually doing the same thing Charlie was during his extended bathroom trips, it would certainly explain a lot.

So, anyway, this steely-eyed ass kicker has become one of my new favorites and not just because I got to see her shoot Shannon this time around. Though I will admit it was a delightful bonus.

I do wonder what the heck was up with the whole Goodwin speech about how they'd taken the "good ones" and that they were now in a "better place". WTF? Are the Others the island's equivalent of a violent cargo cult? Hmm. I do wish Ana could've gotten a little more info out of him before she offed him, but c'est la vie I guess. And oh my does next week ever look fascinating. And did my eyes deceive me or was Sayid in bondage again? Be still my heart!
