War of the Worlds the series will be released on dvd November 1st!! I can't believe it's finally happening! Oh man if they release Cupid now I'm going to fall over and be utterly useless for the rest of the day.

On the HP front, eska_rina posted about linking up HP and the Tarot (Percy as the Hierophant is just too good) which got me to thinking about who I'd line up with the cards. I may pull out my deck tonight and just see if I can lay out all the major arcana with characters. 'Cause of course I have time for another project...*sigh*

Anyway class itself was good last night, though I nearly launched myself at S- and J- when they started whining about costumes. "Can't we just use a bedleh?" No you fucking can't just use a goddamn bedleh. GAH! This year has taught me one important lesson, that I'm not volunteering to do a damn thing with costumes should we all be in DDF next year. Wear some lame ass outfits with my blessings, girls, because I am done. You know what the best part was, though? People bitching about not having enough time to get their costumes done. Yes, the same people who did not show up at 3 costume workshops and who turned down our help every time it was offered. Who stood around waiting for the costume fairy to descend and grant them the perfect outfit via her magic sparkly wand just in time for rehearsals.

Fortunately this weekend is looking to be rather relaxing with my only two big plans being cat sitting and finishing once and for all the damn costume I've been working on for months. And this time when I say it's finished I'm going to mean it. In fact I'm going to take it, put it in a dance bag, and not look at it until dress rehearsals. I mean it, no tweaking once it's declared finished.

Uhhhh... I'm happy, of course, but BOY do I ever feel dumb for downloading all the eps.... :) *sigh* I wonder if Dr. Who 9 can be all that further behind. But hey, at least it motivated me to finally get a DVD-RW drive.

Oh well.

First season of BSG UK edition is in the stores, by the way. I resisted last night, however. Did finally manage to find a copy of TEP, collector's edition, for $15. Since the two behind it were marked $21 and $23, I counted myself very lucky indeed.

Wait for the US release, Aelf says the UK one doesn't include *any* special features but the US one is boasting quite a few.

Take a look at the first review on Amazon for the BSG season 1 set, it lays out all the differences. Though since you already have the miniseries, you may care less about commentaries and the rest of whatever they're putting on the US set. I'm waiting (oh-my-god impatiently, but waiting) for the September release.

...which I just realized will more or less coincide with DDF, and isn't actually that far away, when costume/dance panic sets in. O.O

Well, gee, now I'm not sure. Though Amazon's list price is currently $6-$7 cheaper than they had the UK version for at Best Buy. But I am loathe to order from Amazon. And that reminds me, I have not finished watching all the extras on that Miniseries disc....
