Damn you, curse you!
Jul. 29th, 2005 09:47 amGoddammit,
tersa, I so didn't need to know about Lumos con 2006, which sounds like HP heaven on earth for the grown up fan set. Tonight I'm researching hotel prices to get the best deal while we're there. I'm going to be driving to Vegas a lot in the next two years. Good thing I've got a new car I guess...
Dumbledore is not dead
The logic of the author's arguments are pretty damn sound, and his page on Snape really had me nodding and saying "Yes, yes exactly!" quite often. I highly, highly recommend taking a look.
Class was good last night, though I've reached the end of my rope regarding costume changes. If somebody bitches about the latest incarnation and wants to make another tweak I'm going to throw my hands in the air and walk away from the whole DDF mess. What drove me nutty last night was how everyone just expected that they'd get someone else to make their costumes for them. Guys the whole point was for us to express our own creativity through the process of creating the bra and belt set. Of course when J- asked me how much fabric she'd require and I commented that it would depend on the width of the fabric she looked at me as if I'd suddenly started speaking in tongues. Honestly, how can you be a dancer and at the same time take no interest in learning how to construct your own costumes? I just don't get it.
We've got a lot of routines to learn and learn properly in a month and a half. Given that most of them are easier than "Soiree Odalisque" I'm not too nervous. Still, it's a lot of sets and we've got to get them all right. It's going to be a push but one we're hopefully ready for.
Hopefully.

Coming from you with your Snape icon, I know that Curses = Love. :)

We have to have *something* to tide ourselves over until 2007!

Although I think there is a certain poetry to driving POTIONS out there next July, I will offer out my car (and its better gas mileage) as an alternative option, which we can decide on at a later time. :)
