I had much the same reaction.

Got tons done last night and stayed up way too late doing it, but the warm glow of accomplishment is keeping me going today. I have a strong urge to really start writing again but no time to do it. It will, of course, pass by the time I do free up my schedule a bit. *sigh* Ah well, it shouldn't take too much longer to get the quilt I'm working on done for the baby shower and then NO MORE PROJECTS FOR A WHILE. Or at least no crafty ones.

It could happen.

Right, and I'm a Chinese jet pilot...

So, to be blunt: why is it ethical on the one hand to impeach a President for lying about sex with an intern, and ethical on the other hand to poll people about another president's sex appeal?

Mixed messages and the usual hypocrisy much? Methinks the public and media are fantasizing too much, and not in a good way.

I really don't understand this particular element of the GOP psyche. I think a few months back I posted a link to a newspaper story going on and on about how Condoleeza Rice was teh sexay and all Matrix-ed out for some public appearance and I was like, WTF? One blogger posted links from a Right Wing site where people were going on about Dick Cheney using much the same language one would expect to find on a Backstreet Boys fan site.
I just don't get it.

God, John Kerry has more sex appeal than any possible combination of BCR (BushCheneyRice) and that ain't sayin' much. Granted, I'm not a contemporary of theirs, but though his face looks like Mount Rushmore after a mudslide, at least Kerry looks like he's in some variety of healthy shape. Bush's face looks like a cowpie home for field mice stood on end, Condi Rice might as well be an extra Evil costume from the Gremlins movies, and Cheney's got more love handles than a jackhammer-sized vibrator. Puh-leeeze.

For the moment, I'm going to plead wimpy-guts and decline. Having imagined what's been said is both better and worse than actually knowing what's been said, and for the moment I'll be content with both what I suspect and what I don't know.
